January’s Boymom/ I Blame Society masculinity discussion group is today at 10am PT, 1:00pm ET/ 6pm UK time. We will be talking about the new presidency and how we are feeling about it, as well as what it means for this ongoing cultural conversation about men and boys- as well as - if there’s time- the issues I wrote about in this post Girls can Be Anything but Boys will be Boys- about the gender essentializing of boys and whether it is helpful and validating or limiting and harmful ((or both? Neither?) (These two topics are quite different so we will probably see how the conversation flows organically and how much we can get to.)

The last few discussion groups have been so interesting and thoughtful. So if you are into the idea of a good faith, judgement free community talking about complex ideas openly and with respect, this is for you, and it’s not too late to sign up. It’s open to all paid subscribers (monthly or annual) of any gender/ parenting status / political viewpoint (within reason) etc, so if you would like to join, upgrade to a paid subscription, annual or monthly and you can cancel anytime. And if this is financially prohibitive, then just message me and I will sub you, no questions asked.
